New Media/Feature Wall, Residential Dwelling – Kirkby La Thorpe
New Media/Feature Wall.
Carre Heritage was originally commissioned to carry out specialist joinery works for a new client and upon completion and with the client very impressed with the standard of works carried out, Carre Heritage was commissioned to carry out further work to design and construct a new media/feature wall.
The property is a modern barn conversion which has a mix of brick and stone walls. The client’s dining room has an exposed stone wall which was maintained and followed through in the design within the faux fireplace. Ancaster stone was the material of choice which was cut into slips to give the effect of a stone fireplace.
The TV was inset within the new feature wall and backlit with coloured perimeter LED lighting which was also carried through to the fireplace opening.
To complete the design, limestone tiles were laid flush with the existing flooring to alleviate the trip hazard for their young children.
