Grange Farm, Langton By Spilsby

GRADE II FARM HOUSE DATING FROM 1800

Grange Farm built of red brick, which sadly received a hard cement render in 1980s, totally incompatible and restricting evaporation.

Carre Heritage carried out a programme of restoration over a period of 12 months, including a new external lime based render, new bespoke slim line double glazed window frames, plus lead work to the bay window, and completely redecorated externally.

Horrifically, when the hard render was removed, moisture fell from the external wall. Once the house had dried sufficiently, a lime render and the brickwork responded well, allowing a natural evaporation instead of retaining rainwater.

This lovely farmhouse now restored, sits proudly on the East Lindsey Landscape.
